One of the innovations in defensive wear by the Joseon army was the introduction of the Dujeong-gap armor, a form of brigandine coat consisting of plates held firm between layers of fabric with rivets. This set portrays soldiers wearing such armor, and wielding traditional Korean weaponry such as the Hwando sword and Woldo polearm.
