I chose the WizKids Pathfinder Battles Deep Cuts Female Knight as the central figure for my entry. From the very beginning, I had a clear vision of a desperate defense taking place inside a cave.
For the painting, I wanted the glowing underpainting—shared across the entire piece—to subtly shine through in certain areas, creating the impression of reflected light. Initially, I painted the figure in golden armor, but I didn’t like the additional yellow tones. I removed the paint using isopropanol
