gear box saftey device external

this device is needed to operate things like a excavator boom or stick that needs to ratchet at the end of the travel and not self destruct just ratchet

not exactly sure what the torque on this ratchet is but it seems to be in the proper range ?
i can increase or decrease the torque just by thickening or thinning the latch part
will not know till i actually have to use the high torque motor for such devices
