Every time I take a spill on the Ducati 620 Monster, something always has to break off. Almost a 100% of the time, it's one of my handlebar levers.
If the only part of the lever that breaks off is the extendable part, it's a pity to have to replace the whole thing. So, I made a copy of the original part and printed it out on our 3D printer at work (a Fortus 250) and it fit perfectly on the first try!
